Welcome to THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA BEACH SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIPS.

We want to thank all this years attendees for your participation in this years event.  We are very pleased with the turnout and we really enjoyed watching 225 teams compete for a spot in the championship game. 

This year we also kicked off The U.S. Open West which is our professional bracket and in the finals we saw Hampton Roads AllStars (Virginia Beach, VA) face off against Palms Las Vegas (Las Vegas, NV).  Palms Las Vegas won the championship game with a golden goal in over time by John O'Brien.

Shannon is going to play Beach Soccer this year in Oceanside and she is bringing her friend Joy Fawcett !!!!

Shannon MacMillan attended San Pasqual High School in Escondido, California, and then played for the University of Portland, where she won the Hermann Trophy for the best female collegiate soccer player of the 1995 season and was a Four-time All-American. Shannon was The Olympic and Women's World Cup hero, she is a strong dribbler who possesses one of the hardest shots, she is tremendously strong and fast, she has the ability to wear down defenders.

Joy Fawcett attended Edison High School in Huntington Beach, California, and then played at University of California, Berkeley where she was a Three-time All-American and is still the all-time scoring leader with 55 goals and 23 assists.

Joy scored the game-winner, heading in a Shannon MacMillan corner kick at the near post, against Germany in the quarterfinals of the 1999 World Cup. She has been tagged by many as the best defender in the world, she is a genius at diffusing dangerous situations and is also an extraordinary attacker from the back.

Thomas Dooley to face off against John O'Brien in Oceanside at The Southern California Beach Soccer Championships!

With only 4 weeks left until kickoff The Southern California Beach Soccer Championships continues to add top level soccer legends to it's list of participants. Pro-Am team "Voodoo Doc FC" from Huntington Beach has added to their roster non other than former U.S. National Team Captain Thomas Dooley.

Thomas Dooley started his professional career with third division club FC Homburg. He moved to FC Kaiserslautern in 1988 and helped them to the German Cup in 1990 and the Bundesliga title in 1991.

John O'Brien Heads Pro Beach Soccer Team in Oceanside!!!

As The Southern California Beach Soccer Championships draws near, the Pro-Am division is filling up with teams that bring a hand full of historic stars. One is "Palms Las Vegas FC" which will showcase former US Mens National Team player John O'Brien.

Here is a short list of some of his accomplishments: One of three U.S. players to play every minute of the 2002 World Cup & picked up a goal and an assist, 2000 U.S. Olympian, finished in quarterfinals, played with the Ajax Amsterdam in Europe 1999-2005, played for CD Chivas USA of Major League Soccer.
