MTV at the Beach … Weekend with Marta, Dooley & Fawcett

We are happy to announce a strategic partnership with MTV. “We are excited to be part of the 2nd largest Beach Soccer Festival in the World”, says Christina Cruz, MTV’s Director of Marketing and Strategic Partnerships, “The Festival is a perfect fit for our viewers and our brand.” MTV will be filming on location throughout the weekend to create a 30 minute program that will air on MTV. We had a wonderful time at CalSouth’s 2009 Soccer Nation EXPO. We saw many beach soccer friends such as Tom Dooley and Joy Fawcett and a new face with FIFA Player of the Year Marta who makes her LA SOL debut on March 29 at the Home Depot Center vs. Washington Freedom. We also caught up with Tosh Farrel (World renowned Everton FC Youth Academy), James Ortega (Futboleros), Tim Donnelly (Nike), Mark Neudorff (SoccerOne), Jaime Arroyo (Zrii), Bob Armell (PUGG) and many others. New relationships were established that will add to this year’s festival including new companies like i360 and staychilled.com.
 TWITTING THE WEEKEND AWAY
Thru the entire weekend, we used twitter to keep several thousand of our followers up to date on all of our encounters. These include Tom Dooley signing autographs at our booth and the inductions of Joy Fawcett & Cobi Jones into the CalSouth Hall of Fame right from our table at the Nike Awards Dinner.
